Here you can see the dam. As far as I know, Galway is also called Venice of Ireland. And in fact, there is a lot of water. Little creeks everywhere, streaming down the slight gradient. They have those water ways for salmons, who used to wander from the sea to the lakes on the land. Those Saloms are said to be a speciality of Ireland. Well, I didn't try them, instead I hang arround in the gym of Galway University, where people threw me arround =).
